These programs are a great introduction to Surf Life Saving and can help you get involved in our amazing national organisation.
You’ll enjoy a heap of new experiences and get a truckload of knowledge and skills to set you up for life. Most importantly Surf Life Saving will introduce you to one of the healthiest sports on the planet and give you heaps of opportunities.
At 13 you gain your basic lifesaving and sporting skills. At 15 you have the iconic Bronze Medallion in your pocket plus a Certificate II in Public Safety – very useful at school!
And there’s stacks more! Many of our sporting programs are linked to Olympic pathways for those that want to go hard while your career as a lifesaver will take you into Rescue Jetskis and onboard the Offshore Rescue Boat ‘Westpac Rescue 1’ as a Rescue Swimmer or Crew.
Paddle Power offers participants aged 13 years and above an introduction to surf sports. The program aims to teach participants how to use rescue boards and plastic surf skis in a fun and safe environment.
The program can be tailored to the groups needs, from short 1 hour sessions (great for company team building) to more advanced programs where participants can develop skills over series of sessions. This is a fantastic option for school sport initiatives and community groups.
Paddle Power is delivered at Lake Alexander and all equipment is provided.
