This coming holidays there’s something for all kids tweens and teens wherever our Surf Life Saving Lifeguards are keeping an eye out.
Leanyer Recreation Park, Palmerston Water Park, Darwin Waterfront Precinct and Lake Alexander will all host some great free activities for the little and big kids over this coming break.
Sporting organisations NRL NT, AFL NT and NRL NT Touch Football will all be running fun activities during the week at each water park; all designed to get the little legs and hearts pumping.
Surf Life Saving NT and lifeguards will be running Beach to Bush and a Nippers session down to the Waterfront Precinct lagoon to get in on the action.
Cancer Council NT will be bringing their info stall and skin scanner machine to Leanyer Rec Park for anyone to use to ensure that everyone is monitoring their skin health.
Thanks to Anglicare NT, Proper Creative together with Build Up Skateboarding NT will be hosting art and skateboarding workshops at Leanyer Skate Park over two afternoons on the 14th and 15th. To make things even better you’ll find PaRBA (Palmerston and Regional Basketball Association) running a 3 on 3 Hustle simultaneously on the Thursday on the adjoining basketball court.
Surf and Sail returns to Lake Alexander on Friday thanks to SLSNT and the Darwin Sailing club. This activity is for any 6yrs + kids wanting to try sailing or have a go on the surf paddle boards while being supervised and shown how its done by life guards and sailing club members.
To top off the week SLSNT Lifeguards will have free water games and activities happening on Monday and Friday at Palmerston and Leanyer water parks.
There’s no better time to enjoy our great water parks this coming holidays 😊
