Season 2021 Wrap Up

Wednesday 13 October 2021

The final beach surveillance patrols were completed over the weekend of 9-10 October 2021 and the red and yellow flags are down for another year!

We would like to thank our Surf Life Saving clubs and their members for the tremendous work they did keeping our beach going community safe this season. Members contributed over 1,900 volunteer patrol hours across 8 Territory beaches. 13,826 people visited these beaches and we completed 91 preventative actions and 14 first aids. Amazing Work!

Please be aware that our beaches are now closed for swimming. See you back in 2022!

If you MUST enter the water this Wet Season, please ensure you:

  • Wear stinger protection - socks, ankle length leggings, long sleeves and gloves.

  • Always carry vinegar with you.

  • NEVER swim alone.

Thank you also to our Major National Partners and NT Partners & Supporters for their ongoing support to keep our beaches and coastline safe.
