HIGHLIGHTS OF POWERCRAFT COURSE!

Over the past few weekends, SLSNT ran a combined Powercraft course that brought together IRB crew, IRB Driver, and RWC operator training. You may have spotted them in action down at Casuarina Beach!

Participants underwent intensive training to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to operate Surf Life Saving’s specialised rescue craft.

The course saw a strong turnout, with many Club members eager to upskill. There were some impressive textbook rescues, plenty of valuable lessons learned, and of course, lots of fun out in the sun & water.

SLSNT’s Education Manager shared that the course will prepare and ensure the participants are “rescue ready” when it comes to operating the craft in real emergencies.

A big thank you goes to Garry and Megan Williams from SLSWA, who travelled to the NT to help deliver the course, bringing their energy and expertise to the training sessions.
