Time: 10am - 1pm
All active lifesavers are required to complete a skills maintenance (proficiency check) to demonstrate competency in the lifesaving award/s they hold and in which they wish to remain current.

Open to all Surf Club Members, the aim of this course is to provide participants with skills and knowledge related to surf awareness, aquatic rescue operations, radio operations, resuscitation, emergency care, spinal management, communication, teamwork and Surf Life Saving patrol operations.

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to manage emergency situations and provide appropriate first aid in a workplace environment.
This course is a suitable starting point for anyone with an interest in providing first aid in a workplace setting, including rescue and resuscitation. This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
