Administrator's Medal for Outstanding Service to Surf Life Saving in the Northern Territory

The Administrator's Medal for Outstanding Service to Surf Life Saving in the Northern Territory is a cherished legacy of the patronage of the former Administrator, Her Honour the honourable Sally Thomas AM that was first awarded in 2014.

2014 Recipient - Mr Robert 'Bob' Creek

On the 3 June 2014, the recipient of the inaugural medal was Mr Bob Creek. Bob has contributed 11 years as the SLSNT President and has been recognised by his club and Surf Life Saving NT with Life Membership. He has been a lifesaver for over 20 years and remains an active participant on the beach, on committees and he is an enthusiastic competitor in sport - paddling a recently acquired surf ski and sweeping a surfboat.

2015 Recipient - Mr Alan Cross

On the 28 May 2015 members and supporters of surf lifesaving returned to Government House for the presentation of the second-ever Administrator's Medal to Mr Alan Cross. Alan has been a stalwart of the nation's most remote club and a wise ans dedicated leader at club, Territory and national levels. His service includes being the NT Director of Lifesaving for the last five years- a time of significant growth and development in our lifesaving services - as well as a dedicated athlete and coach whom has been the NT ironman champion on many occasions.

2016 Recipient - Mr Greg 'Hendy' Edwards

Members and supporters of Surf Lifesaving attended a function at Government House on the 23 June to announce Greg Edwards as the 2016 recipient of the Adminstrator's Medal. Hendy is a life member of DSLSC. His involvement with club commenced when his three children commenced nippers in 1992. He achieved his Bronze Medallion in 1997 and was recognised for his service and awarded DSLSC Life Membership in 2006.
