Last week, Surf Life Saving Australia released a bulletin with further information and updates, including specific information around event attendance. Since the release of this Bulletin further announcements by the Federal Government around the banning of mass gatherings and self-isolation after overseas travel have been forthcoming.

The Darwin Beach Fest (formally Beach Week) will be cancelled for 2020.
A decision on the Club Requals day at the Waterfront, Beach and Paddle Series and visits by Julian have not been made, but we will see what further advice is released in the coming month.
At this stage the SLSNT Board is not proposing any restrictions on club activities, but we will continue to constantly monitor the advice from government and health experts which is frequently changing.
SLSNT is asking Clubs to utilise the NT Health COVID-19 Risk Assessment tool to decide whether their nipper activities, sign on days, training etc. should continue. This tool has been developed by NTG to assist organisers determine the level of clinical risk around proposed events. The results of the risk assessment will assist organisers in making decisions about whether to proceed with an event or to restrict, modify, postpone or cancel.
