Ampol is proud of its new partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia, which sees the two iconic Australian brands join forces to help deliver safer beaches and to save lives. The partnership underpins Ampol’s commitment to being a positive contributor in the communities where it operates, and to use its scale, network and employee base to improve the lives of all Australians.
A number of Ampol employees are long-term surf lifesaving volunteers at their local clubs, and the company will also be activating the partnership through its retail network and broader infrastructure assets to promote surf safety messages and to support Surf Life Saving Australia’s important work.
In addition to branding on patrol shirts across the country, the partnership will see Ampol have a presence at major surf lifesavings events. Visit website |

Westpac has been proudly partnering with Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) for more than four decades since the inception of the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service (WLRHS) in 1973. It is one of the longest corporate community partnerships in Australia.
The WLRHS is a vital extension of SLSA’s front line services operating in Southern NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, SA and a rescue boat in the NT. The national operation also incorporates the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Northern NSW and Tasmanian Services.
Over 300 rescue professionals and volunteers make up the national operation, which has 15 helicopters and one rescue boat across 13 bases. During summer, the Service covers over 84% of the Australian population and to date, the WLRHS has performed more than 100,000 missions across Australia, with no one ever having to pay to be rescued.
