Administrator’s Medal
Outstanding service to Surf Life Saving
The Administrator’s Medal for Outstanding Service to Surf Life Saving in the Northern Territory recognises exceptional contribution to surf lifesaving in the Territory.

The medal is a cherished legacy of the patronage of the former Administrator, Her Honour the Honourable Sally Thomas AM, and was first awarded in 2014.

Ms Alison Snowden
Gove Peninsula SLSC
Alison Snowden, commonly known as Ali, has been a valued member of Gove Peninsula Surf Life Saving Club since 2010.

Ali has held numerous board positions at both club and Territory level and has been the club’s primary training officer for more than 10 years. She has been awarded SLSNT Trainer of the Year twice and was nominated for SLSA Volunteer of the Year in 2018.
Ali has contributed to SLSA advisory panels for education and development and was a member of the National Leadership Class of 2016. Over the past decade, she has contributed 447.5 patrol hours and has played a significant role in attracting and training new members at Gove Peninsula SLSC.

Mr Steven Krohn
Darwin SLSC
Steven Krohn, known to many as Krohny, received the Administrator’s Medal for Outstanding Service in 2023.

Krohny has been a valued member of Darwin Surf Life Saving Club since 2010 and is also a member of the SLSNT Search and Rescue Team.
He has completed more than 59 awards and has become an official and trainer. Over his surf lifesaving career, he has contributed 1,297 volunteer patrol hours. His long-standing commitment has made a significant contribution to surf lifesaving in the Northern Territory.

Ms Tracy Koch
Darwin SLSC
Ms Tracy Koch was recognised with the Administrator’s Medal following the return of the event to the annual Surf Life Saving NT calendar on 27 July 2022.

Tracy is a valued member of Darwin Surf Life Saving Club and has been instrumental in the success of the Nipper program, including the Starfish Nipper program.
Her contribution has helped support strong participation on the beach, with more than 100 participants involved on Sunday mornings.

Mr Greg ‘Hendy’ Edwards
Darwin SLSC
Greg Edwards was announced as the 2016 recipient of the Administrator’s Medal at a function at Government House on 23 June.

Hendy is a Life Member of Darwin Surf Life Saving Club. His involvement with the club began when his three children joined Nippers in 1992.
He achieved his Bronze Medallion in 1997 and was recognised for his service with Darwin SLSC Life Membership in 2006.

Mr Robert ‘Bob’ Creek
Darwin SLSC
Mr Robert ‘Bob’ Creek was the inaugural recipient of the Administrator’s Medal on 3 June 2014.

Bob contributed 11 years as SLSNT President and has been recognised with Life Membership by both his club and Surf Life Saving NT.
He has been a lifesaver for more than 20 years and has remained active on the beach, on committees and in surf sports, including surf ski paddling and surfboat sweeping.

Mr Alan Cross

Mr Alan Cross was presented with the second Administrator’s Medal on 28 May 2015.

Alan has been a dedicated leader at club, Territory and national levels. He has been a strong contributor to Gove Peninsula Surf Life Saving Club and has supported the development of surf lifesaving services across the Northern Territory.
His service includes five years as NT Director of Lifesaving, a period of significant growth and development in lifesaving services. He has also been a dedicated athlete and coach, and has been the NT Ironman Champion on many occasions.
