Little Lifesavers is a great introduction to surf lifesaving for children aged 5 to 11.

This program is designed to be fun, engaging and a great way to educate children on the important aspects of water safety, whilst also increasing their skills and confidence in the water with a variety of water safety and lifesaving techniques.

Water Safety Presentation A presentation on flags, signs, sun safety, rips, signalling for help, lifesavers, rescue equipment and inland waterways.
Water Skills Wading, dolphin diving, floating, underwater skills and survival skills.
Rescues A range of rescue techniques including reach, throw and tubes. Participants will also learn recovery position and CPR awareness.
Board Paddling Board paddling technique and how to perform a board rescue.
Flags Traditional beach flags as well as a modified version played in the water.
Beach Activities

Obstacle course, beach sprints, relays and team building games

Program Details 

Who: 5-11 years old
When: usually during School Holidays

Each session will be different, participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions to get the full experience. 

Where: Lake Alexander, East Point Reserve

Time & Dates: TBC

Registration Limits: To ensure the safety of everyone involved, the program will be capped at 30 participants.
